The best part is they are keeping him on the active roster, despite a 3 year sentence! Hahahaha!
Can we make an Internet based reality show spoof about the Bengals please?!?
Who wants to play Mike Brown? Im willing to play Pumpkin, lol.

"We do do, and we do it at a very, very high level," Lewis said.

Imagine... Someday in the future, Burfict and Joiner starting along side each other for the Bungs. LOL

From Pro Football Weekly:

Shortly after word came out about Joiner's sentence which stems from an incident that took place five years ago, when Joiner played at Texas A&M the Bengals sent PFT a statement backing Joiner.

"Brandon Joiner remains on the Bengals' offseason roster," the statement says. "Though it is unlikely he will have any chance to play this season, his contract extends beyond 2012, and the Club is choosing to retain his NFL rights at this time. Brandon must serve a sentence for a crime he was convicted of in 2007 -- when he was 18. But his positive actions during the past five years, including significant community service work, graduation from Arkansas State University and an unblemished subsequent behavior record, have generated a group of active supporters that includes Mike Beebe, the Governor of Arkansas, and Hugh Freeze, Brandon's head coach at Arkansas State and now head coach at Mississippi. In kind, the Bengals support Brandons future opportunity for a career in the NFL."

Amazing, a public relations move! But it hardly makes up for signing the guy in the first place. Let another team take a chance on him.

This is a failure on everyone's part.
From Marvin Lewis giving this kid praise a few weeks ago to the front office that would bring this guy in here.
I am not saying that the guy is a bad person and people should just toss him away, I am saying form the standpoint that you know what is on the table and the chances of this guy going to prison is pretty high, why would even mess with it?
If you liked the guy, then talk to his agent about looking at him after his legal troubles were over.

What is so special about this guy that the Bengals are going out of their way to stick by him and keep him under contract when sentenced to 3 years in the slammer?   Could it be that Mike has found a diamond in the rough, someone that the other teams missed, a former miscreant that will go to Pro Bowls for years to come?  What am I saying?  Naaahhhhh!
