Somebody get me Charlie Sheen. At least he's entertaining. I know I've jabbed here and there with the political statements--but swear you guys are f*cking going overboard with this sh*t.

So--here's another question--to get your minds off that boring sh*t:

What is the movie of the summer? Why? The Avengers? Rock of Ages? Other? Explain yourself.

There's a Chinese film call Raid Redemption that is balls-to-the-wall awesome. Best movie I've seen all year. It's an action flick if you're into that.

"Have not seen the Batman film yet, but so far I'll go Ted!"

If you have not seen TED--GO F*CKING SEE IT. On second thought--let me be more specific--if you don't have thin skin and slip Politically Correctness Tampons in--GO F*CKING SEE IT.

Funniest movie I have seen in years--or ever. We had some elderly couple behind us falling out of their chairs every 5 minutes laughing. It was a total riot to see people over 65 laughing like that at a movie that was supposedly "so offensive".

I give the movie a 10/10. Seriously.

The last movie I went to see....
Wedding Crashers...

I would rather wait for it to come on PPV and watch it in my house.

I think "Murf needs to get out more" is more appropriate.....

Wedding Crashers, Murf??!!?!?!?? Damn. If the wife isn't too uptight--I strongly suggest Ted. Sure, it's a little vulgar--but it is funny as hell. And a guy like you who isn't politically correct or tactful would love it.

Get out of the GD house, dude.

Sure, the h@ndjob at the dinner table was classic. So was the motorboat comment (SHE WAS MY 1ST ASIAN!!!!)--but dude--if you haven't seen The Avengers in the theater, then you are really, really doing yourself "misjustice".

Yeah, I heard this movie was twisted....was it good, Storm--or should I (we) not waste my time with it?

Movie review?

OK--has anybody seen The Bat yet?

Getting all hyped for that one.

BTW--Celian Murphy played a sort of punchline in TDK as the Scarecrow in the beginning. Does he return for this one? LOL--does Heath Ledger return as well?!???!?!!??

Too soon???

Saw it with my boys the other night by the Dayton Mall.

1. Volume was WAY TOO loud. Was in the middle and still too loud. Keep in mind I saw The Who and Ted Nugent back in the early 80s and know what loud is.

2. I couldn't understand about 30% of what the Bane character said. The mask he worn made it difficult to make out everything.

3. Story line was pretty lame. A little better than the first one but not even in the same ballpark as the last one. Keep in mind The Dark Knight is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Everything in this one was just way over the top ridiculous. Placing bombs on two ferries in Dark Knight is somewhat realistic, even Darth Vader would have been shaking his head at the nonsense in this movie. I can envision Darth and the Emperor eating popcorn and laughing at some of the stupid scenes.

4. The character I most dreaded in the film before I saw it was Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Truth is she was probably the best character in the movie. Problem was she was AWOL for huge stretches of this very long movie.

5. Ok, Bruce Wayne doesn't care for bats. I get it. Don't need to be reminded 15 times.

6. High powered assault weapons are actually very accurate and deadly, particularly at what 50 meters? Charging into a mob of bad guys using them against you is a bad idea. Best part is your strategy was to use the same shoulder to shoulder attack formation used during the revolutionary war, without body armor, while wielding pistols yet somehow you succeed in flying colors. One small infantry squad would have ended that assault in a matter of 15 seconds. Sorry for the small spoiler.

7. Good thing Bruce Wayne had a Star Trek model transporter on his tiny little aircraft, you know, the one without cruise control? Wonder where he got the di-lithium crystals to power that thing?

Movie is ok at best. Huge disappointment villain wise. Heath Ledger's performance was certainly worth an Oscar bid while the Bane character was pretty bad.

Before WD..it was Twister...

Not a big movie house type of fella.
Would rather watch it at the house.

Besides watching football, there is nothing better than being stretched out on my couch in the man room watching a good flick.

You mean like this:

[linked image]

Holy Gawd--I think I got that pic sticky. LMAO. Where is Artoo when you need 'em?!?!?!?! LOL

Thanks for the insight, SF2--but I liked the 1st Batman. I thought the "bad guy clan" (Naz Algul?) was a great way to tell how Batman learned hand-to-hand combat. But you're right--the 1st Batman was in no way close to Ledger's Joker. That's how the Joker's supposed to be. He's like the hero's exact opposite. Can't be bought. Chaotic as f*ck. Even burns a truckload of money to disrupt Gotham's Economy System. wink.gif

Twister, Murf??!?!?!?!??!?! That was like 1995. Good lord. 17 years ago? Sheesus, dude. Please--I think you might catch the Avengers at the cheap theaters still? Go see it while you can. In the very least--go see Ted.
