No, this is not a thread about Mike Brown, (hard to believe I know) rather, this is a thread about Chik-fila-a. In case you have not heard, the owner of Chik-fila-a has made a public stand against gay marriage which has generated a large controversy. Those on the left of the political spectrum are now vowing to boycott Chik-fila-a for the owner being bigoted and those on the right vowing to patronize the establishment like Rick Santorum recently did for about a solid week for the owner opposing perversion.

I say we all need to take immediate action and take a stand as well!! So the next time you pull up to the drive through at McDonalds, the first question you should ask them is, "How do you feel about gay sex?" In fact, in all your business dealings you should ask this. And don't stop there, keep "probing". Ask them about such things as masturbation, three ways, and bisexual sex. So if they then try to ignore you or call the police, like they did to me the other day, just stand your ground knowing you have the right to know if they are bigoted/perverted (depending on your views).

As for myself, I can't stand our political leaders involving themselves in the marriage arena any longer. In fact, why did I buy a marriage liscence in the first place? DId I pass some kind of test to earn it? So instead of voting for people based upon their opinions about sex, why not take marriage away from the state altogether and treat everyone, including singles and polygamists etc, the same? That way it will give our political leaders more time to run up huge deficits and invade poor troubled Muslim countries.

I can dream, can't I?

Yeah..perversion. Eww ickey, in another mans butt. You can always spot a bigot/fundie because they are obsessed with the sexual act. If I nail my old lady in the rear does that offend them? Does it makes them feel icky? More importantly, any of their business? What if it was my boyfriend? Santorum should worry about his own house of worship, covering up and rape of little boys is perversion. Has he ever addressed that?

If McDonals was funding Islamic radicals or political groups others didn't support (Girl Scouts anyone?) you can bet they would care. They do. As I care where my money is going when I hand it over to these corps.

This is not a new development with Chik-Fil-A. There was a sh1tstorm when they built in my town 3 - 4 years ago. Anti-abortion activist on the site as soon as they bought it. Gay rights group protesting them trying to stop them from building (didn't work as it shouldn't). When they get so politically involved they are bound to get back their way.

And no I don't think the government should step aside. Only someone happy with the status quo would feel that way. As long as injustices/inequality exist it should be addressed. They (social conservatives) again aren't going to win. The gay community will have their day sometime in my lifetime. I support them and look forward to it.

I think they are severely overrated, the pickle actually cooks inside making the whole thing soggy

And now the owner thinks his opinion on Gay Marriage counts?

What a maroon

I don't have a problem with the guy speaking his mind and being honest about his opinion.
He has the right to be against gay marriage and people have the right to patronize the place to show support for his opinion.

I don't care about gay marriage.
Honestly, it is one of the dumbest debates in world history.
The thumpers run around kicking and screaming about religious nonsense and worrying about the sexual habits of everyone and the gay rights people are just looking for a reason to amp up another war cry.

I have problem with both sides.
#1 Gay people....
I agree with you about having the right to get married.
I do not agree with you on having special rights because you like to rub wieners.
Your sexual habits should not give you protective rights.

#2 Thumpers...
There is not a single shred of evidence that there is a God.
The Bible is just a book...
You might believe in the teachings that come from the Bible and live by morals set up from the teachings of that book and that is fine, I believe all of us live by most of the morals, but to hold that book up in the air and proclaim it is the word of someone or something called God is pure insanity.

Think how nice the world would be if everyone would stop trying to make everyone else just like them.

These wedge issues - gay sex/marriage etc and abortion do not belong on the table as far as political platforms/agendas etc. What people do behind closed doors is their own business as long as it doesn't harm other people.

We are told that the government should not be in the bedroom, but in the same breath we are asked to vote on whether gays should be allowed to marry and asked to vote for politians based upon their personal views of sex.

Again, government has no right in being involved in the marriage business, period. Why should I get tax perks and privlidges for being married that are denied to singles or polygamits?

The answer is that government is in the business of picking winners and losers. After all, our interest extends as far as our wallets, so if they were not picking winners and losers, would we even vote? I think that treating all Americans with equality, whether they be rich or poor, gay or straight, atheist or of faith, large corporation or small business, would be the kiss of death for government. There simply would be no interest in elections and no money flowing into Washington.

The owner had a right to say what he said. No one is arguing that he didnt have a first amendment right to say that.

People also have a right to choose where they want to buy a chicken sandwich.
Personally, I think its pretty idiotic to aliennate 50 % of your customers (the 50% who believe gays should be able to marry).

Its his choice. Whether you continue to eat there and support his views, is your choice.

Somebody the other day told me that If I felt that way, I should not buy gasoline any more because Muslims kill homosexuals. I looked at him and proceeded to tell him he was an idiot. First of all, we get the majority of gas from Canada and Mexico. Secondly, I have about 30 different places where I can buy a chicken sandwich. The same 2-3 companies own most of the gas stations. I don't purchase BP at their stations anymore (its easy as they dont have any gas stations in Vegas), so I try to be consistent.

and I agree with much of what TheyDey says. I have never understood why government got involved in marriage anyway. Many of the priveleges can be delineated and enumerated ina contract anyway.

Same thoughts

People have a right to voice opinions, boycott, protest or support.

I dont see the fuss about any of this. Must be a slow media day.

It is not just the media, it is what the politicians thrive upon and I'm sick of it. The media and politicians exploit these issues in order to gain attention and support. It is just sickening.

More of that delicious chicken for me!!!!!!

Their ice cream kicks serious azz too!

Seriously, I don't give a f*ck. If they wanna send out a message like this--then so be it.

Where in the hell have you guys been? Chick-a-fila (whatever how you spell it)--IS NOT EVEN OPEN ON SUNDAYS!!!!! I'm not into the religious thing either--but if you put together a product like they have--then I'm going there--even though my stomach may be turning thinking about your message.

They have made no secret of how they are. They are deeply religi. If you don't like it--DON'T F*CKING EAT IT. DON'T F*CKING GO IN.

I don't see these dumbazz liberals boycotting WalMart (I call it Chinatown now) because everything they distribute is made in China. Where the f*ck are you guys there????????? Hell, I bought my kids one of those "patriotic rubber duckies" that they sold there. Didn't think about turning it over to see where it was made. Guess where?

Even the flags are made in China. How patriotic.

WHERE ARE YOU GUYS THERE?!?!?!?!?!?!? Talk about contradictory as hell (as you always have been).

Intolerant is how I describe the gays and gay supporters.

"No one is arguing that he didnt have a first amendment right to say that. "
Bronco, lets see what these mayors do. They have no right kicking them out of town for their beliefs.

Falc,

Wal-Mart sucks.

Too many people and not enough registers.
I go there for the occasional case of beer, but nothing else.

I hate Walmart but its so damn convenient for me, 3 minutes away and they have just about everything I need cheaper than anyone else, although it is a psychological nightmare for me when I go, fat people riding on those scooters, poor Americans with 3 grocery carts full of snacks and sodas, the idiots in the parking blocking traffic waiting on someone loading their groceries so the can save 25 feet of walking.

And dumbazzes that come through the exit and looking at you like you're inconveniencing them by going the right way.

"Wal-Mart SUCKS!!!"--Rainman revised, 2012

No sh*t. At least this is something that we can finally agree on. That and OSU kicks azz.

Oh yeah--I think Storm touched on one thing that I dispise--GOING THERE FROM THE 1ST OF THE MONTH TO ABOUT THE 5TH DAY OF THE MONTH.

Why you ask?

ALL THE GODDAMNED WIC USERS. MF'er man. How Goddamned annoying.

"You can't buy that with your WIC Card (they all know this--but still try to freeload)....and you're over the limit by $63.29....."

"Well, sh*t" (says the heavily tatooed white trailer trashed fat lady still illegally smoking with 18 kids climbing on the conveyor belt)--"put back the 5 lbs. of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter....my carton of Marlboro 100 Reds....what does that come to...."

"You're still $9.89 over...."

"F*ck me running (like anybody would--oh wait--I guess somebody did 18 f*cking times to my wonder)...put back the 3 lbs of Doritos (that she obviously doesn't need)....and put back....oh wait.....I know.....put back the $7.99 12 pack of Pabst....and the $3.00 Kodiak for the hubby (there is a husband???? Holy sh*t--I would love to know what kind of deadbeat this f*cker is)....and gimme back my 3-lb'ed bag of Nacho Doritos for when I smoke all those bowls....I shouldn't have said that out loud......"

Me: "Obviously......"

And oh yeah--I'm 18 mf'ers back from this idiot and can still hear/see what's going on from the jewerly counter....and she's just one of the many....

LMAO--no wonder there's that "people of wal-mart" website. Just an interesting place overall. You can just go into the place not wanting to buy anything during this time period for these 60 days out of the year.....just for SHEAR PEOPLE WATCHING ENTERTAINMENT.

My favorite--the over-the-hill fatazzes that attempt to squeeze their oversized buttocks into the 3-sizes too small daisy dukes. Cellulite hanging out like the dairy aisle on the back of the legs. Them walking around like they're owning it. Oblivious to all the people mouths gaping. hahaha!!!

PUKE.
