I heard one story that is interesting

"I have heard a lot about when Mr. Esiason played here. I respect him.... May God bless him."
I heard a story about Esiason when he was in the 'Nati the 2nd time. I can't remember where I heard it. But after a play where Boomer was sacked for something like the 3rd or 4th time, Boomer gets in the huddle and says:
"IF I'M EVEN TOUCHED ONE MORE TIME THIS GAME, THEN YOU'RE GETTING A FOOTBALL UPSIDE THE HELMET--TEST ME IF I'M KIDDING. YES, IT WILL HURT." (paraphrasing, of course)
Boomer wasn't touched one more time that game. Of course, the Bungles went 9-7 that year and nearly made the playoffs. They were on a roll. And when you thought they would take the roll into next season, the HOLE killed the momentum. Can't be making the playoffs, ya know? Are you kidding????? You would lose money doing that. Instead draft Akillme a couple of years later. That should work for a franchise QB, right?!?!?!??!???
F*cking azzhole. NICE JOB. YOU'RE STILL GETTING OVER THAT PICK AND IGNORING THE AINTS--AREN'T YOU?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!
"So he got fired? Big deal. It's happened to the best of us. So he got kicked out of his house by his 400 lb'ed wife?!?!? That's probably better for him anyways."-OldSchooler on ChrisMBHater's absence

I find it remarkable that even though the Giants have been highly successful in that town the Jets dominate the news every day. Are there that many more Jets fans than Giants fans up there or is this just a reflection of Rex's circus atmosphere?

I live in NJ and there are way more Giants fans here in NJ than Jets fans.
Most Jets fans are in Long Island and when I used to live in Queens there were also a ton of Jets fans there (they use to play in Shea stadium). Other boroughs seem to have a preference too but I'm only going by eye. Areas outside of NYC in the NY suburbs also have large Giants followings.
A general rule is that there is a east/west divide but there are a lot of exceptions obviously. The fact that the Giants have had more success in recent decades can skew things. Much like the Mets/Yankees fanbase. My opinion is that there are more Giants fans than Jets fans overall.
The Jets getting all the media love is kind of a new phenomenon. It has everything to do with Rex and now Tebow. For years they complained about not getting the same treatment that the Giants got in the media so I think they relish it even if it does have a circus-like atmosphere to it. Giants fans don't seem to be as concerned.

SportsCenter just went 17 whole minutes without mentioning Tim Tebow. The streak ended when they announced that during their upcoming interview with Peyton Manning they were going to ask him about Tebow.
...toss me that thar vomit bag.

Oh and by the way...
Did Marvin Lewis really call Rex and ask him not to run the Wildcat? If so I find that highly disturbing, even for a preseason game. If Rex didn't run the wildcat just because Giggles asked him not to then he's doing a disservice to his own team and should be held accountable.
Then again if Rex is lying he's just a Turd like his dad.
Has Marvin denied this? Has he even commented on it?

Who are these people that can't get enough Tim Tebow coverage? Every single person I know who is into football is tired of even hearing his name. It has gotten way beyond the point of absurd.
You're right ESPN has to be the biggest offender. I was watching Sportscenter or something a few weeks ago and they had a bit where he was running in the rain shirtless. My wife even commented on how corny it was.
However, I am excited about the inevitable destruction of the Jets locker room.

I hope Marvin actually didn't call Rex up and ask him not to run the wildcat.
What message does that send to his team. Oh, we no you can't defend the wildcat so I asked the opposing coach not to run it.
I hope this ain't true, mbut nothing would surprise me.
As for Rex why would admit you didn't run it because an opposing coach asks you not to.
Do you have a habit of giving opposing teams their wishes.
Do you want to admit you don't want to practice a offense you plan on runing in the preseason. Wow that's smart!!!
Unbelievable on Rex's part admitting this, and unbelievable on Marvin's part if true.

Apparently, it was Timmy's 25th Birthday yesterday. Sportscenter's top 10 list of the day was top performers 25 and under in honor of te-blows bday. Ridiculous. But that's what makes New York different than everywhere else. He is front and center everyday.
The Jets made members of the media pinky swear not to reveal anything when they installed the wildcat package on Monday.
It is depressing watching the Jets have success.

I'll bet LT's thinking:
"Tell you what--let me sack him TODAY--not in my prime--and I'll bet Timmah starts whimpering like a little schoolgirl."
That or:
"Put him in a dress--and I'm sure to proposition him when I'm wired later....."
LMAO!!!!!
