Another classic Lumina rant, lol.
Regarding the drafting of Ross...
Thinking back to the Bungs 2016 season where they finished 6-9-1. A little less bad luck (Nugent doesn't implode, no Burfict suspension, no Green injury, no Eifert injury in the Pro Bowl) and a little bit of good luck, and they might have gone 9-7. They still would have been a highly flawed team, though, with a much worse drafting position. So that was their silver lining -- higher draft picks.
So what did they do with that little bonanza? In Round 1 they took Ross, who would have been available much later. In Round 2 they traded down to take Mixon, and with the extra pick took a wideout (Malone) who's pretty much a carbon copy of one they already had (Core).
So they basically took no advantage of where they drafted. And... Ross barely played in the preseason and has already dinged up his knee.
Now this is the team we've grown to love.
