In other news, the Browns are giving the Steelers all they can handle.

The Browns are being competitive, Psycho.

We don't even want to be competitive anymore.

It really does feel like the worst days of Shula-Coslet.

So, 4 INTs, 5 sacks and a turnover (stripped pass). 16/31 for 170 yards and 0 points. Someone correct my math if it's off, but that's a QB rating of 28.

Fun fact: 20% of Dalton's completed passes today have been to THE OTHER TEAM.

We're getting Week 6 levels of frustration and disgust in Week 1. Definitely "electrifying."

With any luck we may have another lost era year. Marvin will finally be gone hopefully would be the one good thing.

2 running plays to end the game with aminute left give McCarron a series at least.

The Bungles Deserve It.

"Note to Marvin Lewis:

Andy Dalton is not Ken Anderson and he's certainly not Tom Brady. He needs to make more than a token appearance in the preseason.

Note to Mike Brown:

You so totally deserve the season you're going to get on this the 50th anniversary of the franchise.

Note to my MBS compatriots:

I guess we're not dead yet."

Nope, we're not. I expect traffic to be at an all-time high when all the homers get home from the game. Or Monday when they sober up a little.

And Bungle Fans, you get what you deserve. You watch them release your best 2 Offensive Linemen this offseason for nothing.

You watch them draft Joe Mixon after Joe Mixon.

You watch them sign Pac-Man Jones and Burfict to long-term deals.

You still go to the games even after you see this. You support the thuggery.

Whatever man. Do whatever makes you happy. I can't imagine losing being that.

BTW--has anybody ever thought that Andy Dalton has played out his head for the last 5-6 years? He wasn't supposed to be that good? Then Mike Brown has a moment of clarity and drafts Red Pop's White Knight in AJ Green? That was has made the Red Pop. I could heave a pass 40 yards downfield using the FORCE and have AJ Green come down with it.

I mean does that take "talent" or am I riding on AJ Green's talented coattails?

Final: 20-0 Ravens

The aftermath of this one should be entertaining.

- The electrifying" offense puts up a goose egg. How will Hobson spin that?

- Twitter should erupt in outrage

- That tone deaf duo, Dehner and Owczarski, will shrug it off. Along with Daugherty, they won't care as long as they can get another guest on Beyond the Stripes.

- We may get some visits from our wayward members expressing tidings of great levity.

I am so glad I decided not to go the game at Lanbeau this year. That will be about as entertaining for me as watching a Beyond the Stripes show.

BTW, here are Dalton's stats for the day:
16 completions in 31 attempts for 170 yards and three INT's. No TD's. No points. QB Rating = 28.4.

How the heck did it end up that high? Puts that classic 2.0 rating against Cleveland in perspective.

thought this would start last year... knew the O-line in addition to secondary woes would be the straw to break the camels back...

The Bungles revert to form by fielding a junior varsity offensive line and a homer press corps and Sheepish Fan Base are shocked at the result?

It's another year of hilarity. Thanks Mikey. Somewhere I think Carson Palmer is belly laughing as well.

Psycho, if I were you, I would keep my eyes peeled extra good for some "hot seat" articles this week. I'm sure the scribes are going to have quite a field day after the way this game turned out. If not I will be shocked, as should you. Lol.

I expected them to be competitive for three quarters or so until the O-line caved in. I did not expect to see the reemergence of Bad Andy The Red Popgun. If he plays reasonably well today they possibly win a low scoring game. Or at least it's close.

I suspect that it's not just the line but also the coaching. That is worth a thread of its own.
