Jery,Wowser,Thank you both for your very private stories.
Even though they may have been a little off subject of what this site is usually about.I feel like some of you guys are kind of like family,(in a way).If you can't from time to time share your feelings with those you feel closest to,then there is somethig wrong about that.I still think about patients i cared for that have gone home from the hospital.I still wonder if they are okay.Other nurses say to me all the time "Erica, do you remember Mr so and so"?Or "do you remember how sick Mrs__________ was?Then she got well".
The nurses who took care of you or your loved ones will never forget you.I think a way for each human to find meaning for their lives is to seek to enrich the life of another.After all life is not duration,but rather it is donation.It is a gift.I hope in some small way,my time here with you fine men gives each of you a reason to smile.
