jesse the up date i found on my set with shut down at turn on

jesse i had or should say still have .waitting for the customer to hash it out with mits. relations .the set would shut a second or so at turn on .looking close on the deflection board with a strong light and magifier .i removed ic5a01 found coolant leaked from the green tube settled under the ic it self .i flushed the board with fedron and took a heat gun to dry it down . after that the set fired up with a raster .the green tube has to replaced .customer is pissed that the set broke down once in 6 years .i tried to explain to him that i dont make the set . and if you had trouble once in 6 years thats not bad .i see new sets breaking down in a year or shorter .so he is taking it up with the company .he thinks we should do the job for zip.because he bought it from us .but the next time you get one in with that trouble .look close at the main board for leakage of coolant i would have over looked it myself if i didnt look right at it
