I was fortunate enough to find a small un-named virgin camp this past spring. It pretty much kept me busy during this relic hunting season. This represents alot of digging in some pretty hard ground. I included everything in this picture to give the non relic diggers an idea of how much other stuff must be dug for each button or other nice brass relic. Most people just show the "good stuff" and it sort of gives a false perception that relic hunting is easy and the buttons just pop out of the ground. That's not the case at least here in Colorado. The casings are all Spencer and Henry Shells.
Time to start researching a new camp for this next year.
