Response to What do you think of the sov.elite?

Hi Tom,

I really haven't used one or even seen one up close, I would like to try one out since it's as close as your going to get to a Sovereign. The meter should be changed over to read 180 instead of the 550 on high conductor coins, A minor change

If a persons short on cash and would rather not spend the $$$$ on the new elite, A good used Sovereign fitted with both the Sunray 180 meter and Minelab BBS 10" coil would be an outstanding machine capable of searching both inland and the wet sand of any beach. Once mastered, The Sovereign with an experience user can go up against even the best armed with the Explorer. A good used Sovereign fitted with the Sunray 180 meter and 10" BBS coil sells for around $400.00. About half the price as an elite.

Also, I came across a treasure clip on the S/T Tek. It sounds like a machine ahead of it's time when it first came out and water proof to boot down to 30' feet. Maybe someday when we hookup, You can let me have a stab with it for a few hours and you can use my Explorer.

Good hunting to you Tom,
Paul
