You know if you are digging in an area that smells worse than any scummy gas station restroom,it may be a zone that has been covered for years!....not alot of fun to work,but if you can stand the smell,it can be very productive....
Like Tom T. said...the looks and color of the sand will draw you to the right areas long before fowl smell will key you in....Main Beach Santa Cruz is a great example of fowl smelling paysand!
