can you tell me about my clown doll?

Hi, i have a very old clown doll, i think about 100 years, i'm not sure what he is made of, not bisque, porcelain, china, not composition..........He is in his original clothes, a blue jumpsuit type with red monkeys playing the cymbals and accordians in the design, his orignal hat and socks. I would love to know more about him, he belonged to my mother,passed down to her i believe and then me. Would love to know what hes made of, how old, who made him etc. if anyone knows. I have some other dolls i would love to know about and will include a picture, they arent clowns though.
