Porcelain Clown Bells?

I was hoping you guys could tell me anything about these. I got them from my grandmother a few years ago and haven't the slightest clue about them. Here is a picture of the two. [Horrible sorry.. If you click on it you can see it better.] They're in perfect condition and have a gold string attatched on the inside with a porcelain ball at the end. Please let me know!
