Ron Lee clowns signed at appearances

We have some Ron Lee clowns that my mother-in-law had signed at store appearances by Mr. Lee. They are "to mom, love your kid(actual name) and Ron Lee" with the year. Is this of extra value to collectors, or sort of a turn off because they have other people's names on them?
