If you really want to beat the vamp counts (and im guessing your Dark Elves cus the last guy said to use witch elves) then you need to consider a few things.
Firstly practically everything in the army causes fear, so unless your dwarves this pretty much means your gonna lose some units fleeing.
Secondly when it comes to firepower the Undead army has next to none. When fighting them this should be exploited by employing at least two units of missile troops.
Thirdly they are powerful with magic so make sure you have a sorcerer to counter it and reduce its damage.
Basically in my opinion, which may mean nothing to you :), you should wait for the vamp counts to get to you, whilst laying down fire on their large units of skeletons etc rather than the elite units. Once they get into combat then try to lap around the sides and break up the rank bonus that they get with such large units.
No matter when you fight vamp counts/any undead its always a tough battle. I have found that dwarves handle them well and so do wood elves. |
