Those infamous three "lost" Darkwing episodes, as listed on The Darkwing Duck Diary, have been calling me lately. In other words... I have this uncontrollable urge to write them down into what they could have been, had the show stayed on the air (considering my drive to write my original DW stories has more or less died). In case you don't remember what those three episodes were, allow me...
"Yours, Mayan, and Ours"
Featuring the return of Taurus Bulba/ The Steerminator, and a new hero.
"Breakfast of Chumpions"
Featuring Comet Guy and a new villain, Parmizon the Planet Eater.
"Pranks for The Memories"
Featuring the return of Paddywhack.
Okay, here's the thing. I've got some inspiration for each of the stories by that information alone, but not a whole lot. Here is what I have so far:
"Yours, Mayan, and Ours"
Taurus Bulba takes a visit to somewhere in Latin America, where he hears that a special relic lies in the ruins of some great sorceror. Bulba guesses that this relic could have the power to regenerate the organic body parts which he had previously lost, and maybe some supernatural powers to destroy Darkwing once and for all.
The "new hero" I've had in mind for this story is a character from a Darkwing comic published in an OLD issue of Disney Adventures Magazine, titled, "Busman's Holiday." His name is Miztec Mallard, and he looks like an exact clone of Darkwing with a different costume. I thought this would be a good idea because (A) Miztec is from Latin America, and should know something about this relic, and (B) since he looks like Darkwing, and he's a GOOD guy (y'know, as opposed to Negaduck, since he's a bad guy?), he and Darkwing could play the ol' switcharoo on him.
The only drawbacks I'm facing are: (A) How could I properly introduce Miztec, without changing the story of how he and DW first met, and without disorienting the reader? (B) Where are the ruins located, who is the sorceror, and what is the relic and how does it work? (C) What price must Bulba pay for using the relic (i.e., a curse)? (D) How does DW find out what Bulba's doing? (E) How can Gosalyn be involved in all this, as she usually is when it comes to Bulba?
"Breakfast of Chumpions"
The word "parmizon," as I've found out, is an improper pronunciation of "parmesan," as in the cheese. One look at the title "Planet Eater," and I knew that they mean that literally. I was immediately reminded of two characters from DC comics when I realized this: Galactus, a villain who feeds off of planets; and his old employee turned hero, The Silver Surfer. Y'see, the Surfer used to seek out planets for Galactus, in return of him not eating his home planet. So, I decided, "Why not make this one a spoof of The Silver Surfer story?" I thought maybe Parmizon could zap Comet Guy into becoming HIS slave to seek planets, with a "cheesy" name like The Swiss Surfer, or The Gorganzola Glider. Comet Guy would take Parmizon to DW's world, and DW has to turn Comet Guy back to normal and save the world once again.
The only real problems I face are: (A) The actual development of the story, and (B) Parmizon's personality.
"Pranks for The Memories"
I have NO ideas for this one. Surprised?
Sooo... with that said, can anyone please help me brainstorm this? The least I need is some random suggestions or ideas. Anybody care to speak up (or forever hold your peace, lol)?
