That was the day that Scott Traci and Chris Swansiger committed to reaching the highest points in all fifty states. With little or no backpacking or mountain-climbing experience between us, over the next several years, we will visit the peaks of the lofty Mt. Rainier (14,411 feet) in Washington, the snowcapped Mount Whitney (14,494 feet) in California, the majestic Mt. McKinley (20,320 feet) deep in the heart of Alaska, as well as the "heights" of Driskill Mountain (535 feet) in Louisiana.
