If it would be that much work...

How about if a few committee members spearhead that category? I'll gladly do it. I think Claire would be interested too... we've read enough ficlets to know what truly qualifies, and we could take some of the burden of this project off your shoulders. I'll even make my two ficlets ineligible if you want me to take charge of this part of it.
Just a thought, since I think those ficlets deserve some recognition. If you want to read them, there are a bunch on Hanako's board. I'm going to be archiving a lot on my site soon, and I think Hanako's going to give them a special place on her site too.
To define ficlet, for those who don't know: it's not just a really short fic. It's more of a vignette: they're only one scene long.
