Fallout 2 Barbarian, and a bug(?) question.

Heyas. I reinstalled FO2 and created a post nuke barbarian. (I remembered you had a similar char once, and they are a hoot to play.)

Bare stats:

STR 7
PER 4
END 8
CHA 1
INT 1
AGI 10
LUK 9

Tagged Unarmed, Small Guns, and Melee weapons. Though I just concentrate on Unarmed for a while. That 1 intelligence is pretty harsh, but worth the entertainment value. It's pretty funny when a char with 1 INT tries to use a slot machine.

Blew up the Enclave this morning, at clvl 17. The nice thing about being a Wasteland Forrest Gump is, the main quest becomes very simple. Those BOS actually did something helpful for once. Dumb luck has it's own charms I guess.

Now on the question. This is using the 1.02 patch, US full violence version. I hope this is just a glitch, because this can be pretty annoying.

When you have access to the Brotherhood base in San Francisco, the ACE computer can supposedly do the following:

1) Heal you, both HP and Crippled limb status.

2) Do Stat upgrades via memory modules.

3) Cure you of radiation.

Number 3 seems to be doing either nothing, or the opposite. There were times when the ACE comp actually GAVE me more radiation, so much so that I died from too much rads.

Did this ever happen to you in FO2? It's not a major bug, if it is a bug. Since Rad-Away still works, but it is pretty annoying. One of the big benefits of having access to that base is the free 24\7 radiation cleaning. Now you might as well do the save\reload or hunt for some rad away. :P
