Has anyone tried this?

Hello All,

Recently, I was running my clvl 43 assassin through Act 3 on nightmare when I noticed that I had quite a collection of rings, ammy's, and other items that provided skills from other characters. For example, I found a kris of bone spear which gave a lvl 7 bone spear to the user. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to develope a character that used only these items, and didn't use their own skills unless they first found an item which gave them that ability.

I had thought about developing a variant based upon that, but I wanted to see if it had been done already.
