Hi, I thought I would just share my story with you. A few years ago coming back through Little Hartley towards West Sydney about 1pm at night I saw what I think looked like a large black cat/dog creature walking along side the road. The shoulder blades moved the way a large cat walks but the head or face was sort of dog and cat like at the same time. I visited the zoo a few weeks later and looked at all the big cats and I would say it was the size of a young panther.

I was so shocked by the sighting and eventually discovered your book Rex with the chapter all about the big cats.

How fast were you driving when you saw it?

How long did you see it for. Did you notice the thickness or length of the tail.

Sightings of large cat/doglike animals on the Mountains are common.If I showed you a photo would you be able to remember if this was close to what you saw?

Was it walking towards you or away from you?

Was there any shine in the cat's eyes/ Any colour you noticed?

Sounds like you still think of it now and then.
