Hello
I have been doing a lot of reading on Yowies and Hominid existence in the Blue Mountains around Katoomba and Mount Victoria and am fascinated about these sightings over the years. I have many questions on how such creatures could exist in this day and age and I understand the skeptics viewpoint but still I have a very open mind on this subject.

Can anyone advise how frequently such sighting would occur and if there is any pattern to these.....ie are these just wandering creatures or do that have territorrial areas that are 'regulars '.

I have caught the Trains many times thru these areas and have often wondered what is actually out there....

But I am sh#t scared of camping and chasing these things though!!!

Anyway just saying hello !!!!

Hi

If you want more info ring Rex Gilroy on 47-82-3441.

As Rex has been investigating the Yowie in the areas youve asked for, it might be better for Rex to tell you presonally.

I have rung him to tell him your ringing him.

Like most animals though, droughts dictate an area where any creature roams. As Australia and particularly N.S.W is in the grips of a major drought then you would expect they would be moving a fair bit.

Hi

Some places have had certain Yowie(s) in the area for decades. Some are accounts where they were seen but never seen again.

Aborigines claim in some places they still roam.

The Blue Mountains/great Dividing range appears to be the home of a considerable amount of them.

While sightings happen all the time not all the reports reach researchers till weeks even months or years after the sighting or attack etc...

The Blue Mountains is full of deep cave systems, some stretching for tens and even hundreds of kilometres underground, so whos to say that they dont live in there and only come out for certain things. I once found a Queensland boulder Opal at Bents Basin near Warragamba Dam which I was told by the jeweler had come from an underground cave system from Queensland.

Underground water helps in times of severe droughts. There is also nothing to say they don't stock up on food for lean times. Winter here isnt as cold as it used to be.
