Hi Ted

Thanks for all the information you've emailed me, much appreciated.

I accidently deleted your message, that is why it has my log in name over yours. Quite a story...

i'm interested in most things of this nature :P

it reminds me of a story i have already heard (about a skeleton preserved into stone? something like that..)

also reminds me of this supposed olmec head found in cambelltown/cabramatta in the 70's?

The head with two boys on it was shown in the Daily Telegraph-Mirror? and now resides in a park in Sydney's south-west and has been vandalised.

Rex was shown it again and it will be on the website oneday...Im going to put the image and some text from Rex on a page on the new website.

Im still searching for other information that his grandson has supplied to me.

You've read the story on Rex's site have you??

Marble Man fascination

Is the information that Ted Sala has so kindly noted still available anywhere? I first read of the Marble Man in Rex's book years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I love reading about petrifications. I found that the University of Sydney has Harry Stockdale's book of press cuttings about the Marble Man in the rare book room but everything else seems hard to track down.
I was told there was a great article in an old PIX magazine. Does anyone know the date?

Hi

It will be, it will be on the new rexgilroy.com site when I finish the website. Ted kindly sent me the telegraph newspaper article; which I have tracked down an original copy and am awaiting them to contact me about sending it.

I haven't heard about the pix article but im going to Rex's this weekend and will ask him, im sure he has it...

Have you seen the uni book?? Do you go to Sydney Uni??
