I was called by a ch 7 representative (who follows our researchers) yesterday to watch the tv last night (which I taped) and who also who gave me this url.

Ch 7 didnt show the head as they deemed it too gruesome for that time of the night.

Ch 7 video stream below of last nights news story

http://seven.com.au/news/popup_video/112462

Did anyone notice in the photographs on tv that the kangaroo like stiffness to the tail, or is that because its tail is being stretched by a rope or something holding it up??

Ch 7 offers the footage for $66 if anyone missed the news and wants the clip or just go to the above link for free.

Hi,
Just letting you guys know that I have seen something along the lines of these "big cats"
Up until the story on telly the other night, I only thought of the animal as a bear crossed with a dog.

In my hometown of Narrandera NSW in about 1994, I always spent my weekend’s mountain bike riding the only decent place in Narrandera, The rocky water holes. On the day I saw the animal (that I now believe to be a big cat) initially I was by myself. I normally ride with a mate; he was unable to join me. Any way, I rode down to the bottom of the reserve to the outer boundaries. It was very hot about 43 degrees so when my cousin and his 2 mates showed up hooning in his Ute I was quick to bum a ride back up to the road.
I put my bike in the back and sat up against the cab looking out over the tailgate. On the way up I noticed a dark shadowish object just off to my left, I could not seem to get a focus on what was flicking through the scrub, but quickly dismissed it as it was keeping up with the Ute doing at least 60km.
As we rounded the corner this shadow caught my attention again as it changed directions quickly and darted out of the scrub at a right angle a few seconds later and it came into view directly behind the Ute. It was way bigger than any dog that I ever seen and boy could that thing move. I only saw a side angle of the beast for a few moments before it darted back down towards the waterhole.

I have chills running up and down my spine just thinking back on it.

So the best description I can give is that it was black, had teeth like a snarling dogs, shoulders that reminded me of a bear, and for the size of the body it had what seemed to be short legs, but the short legs did not affect its speed as its large body did not affect is agility.

A few years later I was peer pressured into going back down to the bottom by a few mates that did not believe me... Until I found a cave... with bones (lots) scattered around the entrance.

Would you go into this cave??

Did you notice any bite/puncture marks etc on any of the bones...No tracks anywhere.

So the legs were not that big compared to the overall size of the animal. it must have been a solid looking animal

60 is very quick isnt it, in W.A in the 70's farmers went went out at night also claimed that these animals paced there ute at a similar speed.

I have sent this to Rex.

When was the last time you went into this area?

Thanks for the sighting...
