You come back tonite around 7pm, and you'll get all you want. I won't be here then, but about 10 of my orange brethren will!!!!!

You'll get hammered worse than last Saturday nite at the local bar!

Much like that Metal Lego Set of a Stadium

December 5 2001, 3:11 PM

at any other moment than a Vol TD. This is like playing Miss. State in Starkville with 2 to 1 Tiger fans.

Another alcohol reference towards LSU fans

December 5 2001, 3:13 PM

I'm amazed LSU fans are the only ones who get drunk. Keep telling yourself that.

How Is this for quiet??

December 5 2001, 3:20 PM

For starters....

Tennessee 10-1 #2
LSU 8-3 #20

Buy all the rings you want for your SEC west championship because around here 8-3 does not a champion make.

Receiving yards
Josh Reed 149 per game
Kelly washington 89 per game
Kelly against LSU 256! Lets not forget Dante was not even there! Add another 100+

Touchdowns
Casey Claussen 19
Rohan Davey 17
Casey with 309 yds against LSU!

Rushing
Travis stephens 120 yds/game
La Brandon Toefield 85 yds/game
However keep in mind that the all mighty Vol rushed for 226 against the gators... how did Toefield do?

Rushing Defense Ranking
VOLS #3
LSU #30

Total Defense Ranking
VOLS #12
LSU #80

Series 19-4-3 VOLS!!

So hopefully the math courses are of higher quality than the basic english and grammar offered at LSU, because it does not take a rocket scientist to determine who has the better football team!

Buy the way how many times has LSU been to the SEC championship game? (LMAO!!)

Now that was rather selective

December 5 2001, 3:22 PM

How many TDS does stephens have compared to Toe?
How many yards did Davey throw for?
What is Tenn. rank nationally in total Offense compared to LSU?
What is Tenn. passing offense compared to LSU?

I love the way you choose the stats that make you feel better.

Here's some more stats to make us feel even better

December 5 2001, 3:29 PM

10-1 overall record (LSU 8-3)
1 win vs the Gators (LSU 0-1 on the homefield)
2 SEC Titles and a 3rd on the way in the last 5 years (LSU first visit to the big game, don't crap your pants boys)
3-0 soon to be 4-0 against ranked opponents (LSU 2-2 vs. ranked opponents.

I know you're boys will fight hard, but they're going to come up short.

GO VOLS!

Welcome VAVOl and What is up JR.

Eazy does make a point on the passing offense statistics. As far as Toefield v Stephens touchdown stats, don't even make the comparison. Toefield scored on a lot of down and goal distances, Stephens usually comes out and lets the bruiser J. Davis or Fleming run those in because he is too tired after his 25 and 35 yard runs.

Not so selective

December 5 2001, 3:36 PM

TD's
Stephens 8
TOE 18

Total offense Ranking
Tenn 58
LSU 68

But perhaps you missed the defensive stats...what's the key to a good offense?
By the way you tell me how many yards davey threw for...

Thanks for the good words guys....

There's no doubt that LSU has a potent offense. We'll be challenged on defense to contain them. At this point however, I have to look at the questionable LSU D and lick my chops thinking about Stephens running lose on them. Not to mention Stallworth & Washington. 2 weapons we didn't even exploit against the Gaytors. We used them as decoys. That's how potent our offense is now the Stallworth is healthy.

I have family in East Lansing, MI and I can tell you that Michigan State fans were happy to get rid of Saban.
The assistant coaches were offered a job at LSU and none of them wanted to go with him. They stayed with the coach that was promoted to the present head coach.

Ahhh Some Sparky LSU Fans

December 5 2001, 10:35 PM

Glad you took the time to make the trip over to SPS. We are glad to have your banter.
It should be an exciting game and I am well looking forward to it.
Tigers I will give you my reason why the Vols will win Sat.
Its called focus and retribution. First our coaches have come out of their shell working together as a unit and figured out how to get the best out of their talent. It was the main factor that made me doubt Phil Fulmer before. I doubt him no more. He is a focused leader of the team and showed his presence in all facets of the game in BHGS.
LSU won a good hard fought game against us last year. Congratulations on that win. But that is the other reason you will lose Sat. You see the main reason we beat Fl was....Retribution. The loss of 2000 was just too painful. It had to be avenged. Our loss to Ga last year and this year is yet another reason. That game was another lesson learned to our coaches, for the players gave their all and they dropped the ball. Kentucky, a wake up call to these same coaches for the unthinkable came close to happening. And then...a funny thing happened as Fulmer and Chavis did a gut check. Its like they woke up with the fire in the belly Sunday after Kentuck. They realized that it was a game, and they had all the tools at their disposal to tweak this years version of the Vols and play-the-game.
And fellas beating ya once this year will not be good enough. But beating ya twice will almost make up for last years loss, almost.
Like I said, appreciate ya here at SPS. It will indeed be a great game Sat.
Please don't be a stranger to our quaint board after its over.
