when in fact UT was just one of at least 8 programs that had legitimate complaints against BAMA! The media and the Bama folks do not want to blame the SEC poster Boy Spurrier. When in fact he was the major player in this investigation. Bama needs to look inward and quit playing the role of a "victim". I suppose all criminals are some sort of victim of something. I am to the point of hoping BAMA really gets hammered. I have no confidence they will clean up unless really hammered. I have made a 180 degree turn on this while watching the Bama folks refuse to take responsability for their actions.

Go read the posts on Tider Insider and you'll swear you're visiting Wonderland with Alice. No matter what levels they sink to, they go on predicting they will be back on top in a year or two. They remind me of the guy who was guarding the bridge in the Monty Python flick, who kept offering to kick ass even though both his arms and legs were cut off.
The Bammers just do not demand accountability within their university or athletics department. I keep thinking how we would react if the same mess had been left on our doorstep. We'd raise unshirted hell, not at other schools and not much at the NCAA, but at the people in charge of our program. We'd be ballistic at our coaches and administrators.

Bama football was in its pathetic natural state when Bryant arrived, and since Bryant has been gone the program has wobbled back to its pre-Bryant joke status.
Isn't it ironic how the Bama fans preach tradition and championships but their only true goal is WINNING AT ANY COST! That is ALL most of 'em care about. Hell, I think folks on this board have more respect for the tradition at Bama than Tide fans themselves--these folks will sell their souls for victories!
I am amazed by the venom spewed by Bama fans at SEC schools in general and Tennessee in particular. Their anger should be squarely placed on those within the Crumbling Tide program. If TN was in this predicament I would think (and hope) Vol fans would be calling for the public lynchings of Dickey, Fulmer, and anyone else involved (heck, we about do that after losses!). Though 6-8 schools put an ABP out for the NCAA to look into Alabama's blatant cheating, the Tiders want to blame the world for their misgivings instead of examining the obvious disregard for rules displayed by those in charge. Pathetic.
I hope to goodness the self-imposed 15 scholarship reduction isn't enough to satisfy the NCAA in this case. SURELY the NCAA is smart enough to realize most schools don't use the full complement of the annual 25 scholly's & generally have 3-5 they keep open for walkon's & the next yrs class if need be. Therefore, the 15 scholly penalty is really closer to 10-12.
To me, Bama offering 15 scholarships is eqivalent to someone offering a judge a $125 for a $200 speeding ticket--it shouldn't stick.

If you think Tiderinsidesheep represents the opinion of the average Bama fan then you are all badly mistaken. Those guys are in their own little world and some of the lunacy they post is laughed at by the majority of the bama nation. They represent the wooliest of all wool.
I can assure you that the vast majority of bama fans are embarrassed and humiliated by this entire episode which began with the hiring of Mike Dubose. We will get what is coming to us, whatever that may be.
