Well, I called Tony's show on Thursday and said the SEC West looked much better this year... True they didn't have a stand out team like Florida or Tennessee, but didn't they just prove which division was tougher?
PS-- the SEC West record against the East was 10 wins and 7 losses counting tonights win. We underestimated them it seems to me.
No, top to bottom they won more against us than we won against them. Top to bottom they were better this year.
Granted, a 2 loss Tennessee might be able to beat LSU 6 out of 5 times, or Auburn seven out of ten. And Florida could probably beat anyone in the West 9 of 10 times, but then we move to Georgia / South Carolina / Kentucky / Vandy and it's really up for grabs at that point. With Vandy losing to all of them, even Miss State.
For the record, the SEC West finished with a better winning percentage as a whole than any other division in any other conference. They just had to play each other all year.
I'm in Chicago and only wish I could listen to the fifth quarter tonight.
CHOKE??? What happened to the team that I watched last week? The team that looked like a contender for the National Championship??? Something is screwed...Glad that I didn't det on this game or it would be me.
You guys had better hope that Shepherd Fulmer doesn't bring this team to the Citrus bowl. As bad as Michigan is this year (and they do suck) they'll kick ass almost as bad as this second rate team from the bayou.
UT is much too gifted to put up with this...get some coaches who will pull the trigger more than once or twice a year.
The sec west record against the east including the SEC CG was 10-9 it was 9-9 prior to the CG.
Alabama 1-2 ( win coming against Vandy)
Arkansas 1-2 ( win coming against SC)
Auburn 3-0 ( wins against Vandy, GA and FL)
LSU 2-2 ( wins against KY and Tenn)
Miss 2-1 (wins against KY and Vandy.....whoooooooo)
Miss St. 1-2 (win against KY)
6 of the west's 10 wins against the east came against Vandy and KY. You know the doormats of the EAST as you are so quick to point out ( and at least one of those took a miracle finish).
That's a .444 winning percentage against teams with a winning record.
Yes LSU won the conference Championship, but the west still sucks!
