It drove me crazy yesterday when ABC showed shots of Michigan fans. It was 45-10 and they were STILL showing shots of Michigan fans putting their finger in the air saying "Go Michigan", "Go Big Blue". They barely showed any shots of any Tennessee fans. Then on ESPN the only highlights they have is of the Michigan WR catching a ball with one hand. They showed both catches, the one out of bounds and the one with them trailing by 5 TD's in the 4th quarter. "Oh yeah, Tennessee wins 45-17". Way to give UT the respect!!!
That is the bad thing about the SEC being on CBS. They do show plenty of UT games on ESPN, but the people that schedule the games and the people that do the stories and highlights are completely separated. The programming department knows how to schedule the best games they can get. On the other hand, the writers and anchors of SportsCenter try to set their own agenda. Just look at how the continually made a big deal out of the Jason Giambi signing a few weeks ago. They tried to make it a bigger story than what was going on in college and pro football. Most people could have cared less about it. I'm surpised they didn't show Woodson's interception he had in '97, that was similar to that out of bounds catch, along with that highlight. Another reason I hardly watch SportsCenter any more.
I thought it was just ABC waiting 4 years to finally show the Woodson winning the heisman trophy clips. I hope they feel better now that it is finally out in the open. I guess that really helped in yesterdays game as the Wolverines were getting torched by anyone who caught the ball in ORANGE.
