Buzz was checking out Lee Humphrey last night. Lee scored 22 points last night. Lee has put on more muscle this year and improved his ball handling. He has a killer crossover now.

Lee led his Maryville high school team to a huge win over Bearden last night.

Buzz needs to get Lee Humphrey. I heard that Louisville wants him badly. Please Buzz, Don't let Pitino get him.

VM, I hate to disappoint you but I do not think UT will sign Lee

unless he improves his stock in the national camps next summer. He reminds me of JP Blevins of UK. I hope he gets better. It would be great to get a local kid to help create fan interest. UT is involved with a lot of top 50 juniors already. I think they want to get a PG and two big men. The last grant may go to a SG or a WF. I have heard they may even sign 3 big men. Two guards they are interested in are D. Bradshaw of Memphis who has a game similar to the J. Williams kid who used to play at UF. Also, Dez Willingham from Desoto, Texas is a possibility at the point.

If he is good enough for Pitino to want him then Buzz needs to go after him. A local kid will dig down deeper when the game is on the line.

VM....

don't take Catfish's talent evaluations seriously. He also told the world last summer that Holden was the answer at PG, and would be a special player. What has happened? Holden is strictly a 2 guard, that comes out of the game at crunch time in favor of a white kid with bad knees.

Believe me, Buzz wasn't in Maryville last night for his health!

As usual Carp knows nothing about BB

I never said Holden is the answer dumbass. VM, did UL offer Lee? It is good recruiting to have unofficial visits for players. I bet Pitino and Buzz will see how Lee performs next summer at camps before he is offered a grant in aid. I saw Lee with the TN Travelers last spring and wasn't overwhelmed by him but people do get better and I might have seen him on an off night. It would be great if he is SEC level of an recruit. I haven't seen him on any top 100 lists yet for next year. If he takes his team to the state and plays well he may be the real deal. I need to get out and see him play.

that hey had with the LadyVols, and proclaimed that Holden WAS the answer, and even compared him to the Watson kid from SC a few years back.

You must have forgotten.

they need LEE HUMPHREY !!

January 3 2002, 1:30 PM

i have played basketball with LEE, and i've also played with travis stinnet , former alcoa guard and now alabama guard , and believe me , if Travis can play SEC basketball then LEE HUMPHREY can too ! lee's not lighting quick but he can fill it up !! he can shoot from all angles ,and he don't need much room or time to get his shot off !i think he'll be a lot better than aaron green was ! he can penetrate and get his shot off a lot better than he could . green was just a spot up 3 point shooter. lee can also bust the three
