Are Network54 & AOL not compatible or what??? I have been trying to get on several times during the past few days & have been able to access the forum only once. When I connect to AOL but then use Internet Explorer it seems to work much better. What's the deal??? I hope ya'll will be changing to a different provider in the very new future. This is frustrating!!!
Your concerns are most warranted.
Plumbervol and I are making adjustments and backup plans to establish our own networking system. And...I am happy to report the www.sportsparlorsouth.com link is now ACTIVE and will front us into the next realm of SPS. We had to secure it from some outfit in France! That's what took so long.
B.Benny, we are now starting to generate some advertising which has allowed PV to engage Power Web in creating this network I speak of.
We still are hoping to establish a benefactor list from within SPS as these start up fees have added up & we are doing the best that we can, but coming up short. As you may note the thread "Need for an SPS Sponsor" now on page four was a big hit as it sank to the bottom like a rock.
We had hoped of having an initial Platinum Plated, through Gold, Silver ect, Members Barbed Wire Patrons of SPS . Or at least something like that and I still hope we can set that up.
Also, and this will be news to PV, I have decided at this time to BACK Net54 and purchase a month of premium service. This will make SPS advertising free from Net54 and give us their premium service package. (Search and other options). Making the Board as it stands even better. Remember that PV and I have scouted BB systems from all over and Net54 is the best available for our needs. BUT....PV and I will continue to construct a new BB within our own Network Server.
I believe Net54 is trying and as we are one of the major players within their Network, will help them in making the right decisions in when they do their maintenance and in their overall customer service.
The future looks bright for SPS. I hope our growth will be well received by our members and those that can, will help support this ongoing project in whatever way they can.
