Listen to reason young man, there is much more to this world than sport. When you understand that most of those in SPS (The Regulars) Know This, then you will have set yourself a platform to understanding why this is enjoyable and what is important in the field of sports talk radio and web sites.
Do I see eye to eye with JC? No, not on a lot of things. Do Dawg, ENFORCER, Gray, ENFORCERS bastard son and I, ect..., go way back? Well maybe just a couple of years but ya see I have gone to the wars and back against these guys time and time again.
But ya see dude, you have not been around long enough to have been there. To see my reaction when they pissed me off. And they still piss me off at times. But, in their world of sport, they will give and take somewhat, they will say, ya got a point there Al, or they will say, get ready cause I'm going to beat the absolute hell out of you. And I said... lets do it unger!
So which brings me to the point where I give ya the lecture and the importance of being a black sheep. Because ya see, the sheep in all their love for the Big Orange will not give up to a point oneiota. Its their way or the highway, its never a "I can see the point you are making, maybe Coach Fulmer did lose his mind there for a second".
No its a constant battle for truth, justice and their one and only version of the Big Orange way.

HUH??? well you sorta lost me there a little bit but i'll try to address what i understood. yes bigal we were neighbors for 4 or 5 years , i lived across the street on the corner there , i put up the fence , basketball court , and i had rottweilers . our kids were about the same age so i knew them better than i knew you . i almost feel like you're cracking on me a little because i havn't fell in line with the wolves in here , but i thought this forum was for all opinions , even those on the sheepish side!i feel like you're trying to lecture me because i havn't been around a long time but believe me i've been here a lot and for a long time , i just get bored pretty quickly with the same ol negative bullshit from the wolfpack all the time. i've posted in the message board when tony had it , but probably under a different name. i don't put you in the same category as some in the stable but you deffinitely have some wolfish ways about you . you tell me there is more than sports , well believe me my life don't revolve around sports or around calling into talk shows , i just happen to love TENNESSEE so i listen to the sports talk shows available while at work or in my car. you also referred to me as a young man a couple of times in what appeared to be a condescending way , well i'm a 40 yr old man , who unlike a lot of bozos in here DID play football and was a proud member of 2 state championship teams . i played with 2 guys who played for the BIG ORANGE and one was an all american. i'm not a personal friend of PHIL FULMER but some of my friends are . no my eyes arn't so glazed over in orange that i don't see the mistakes , and yes i do second guess the coaches at times , but make no mistake about it , my heart bleeds ORANGE !! what you say about jc may be true , but like i've said over and over i have a big problem with him wishing injury on a player. i also don't like the name calling of the coaches . as the editor here you have final say in a lot of things but it won't stop me from doing what i think is right , and i think it is right to call down anybody who is trying to put down or break down the university that i love !! i think from what you say ,you think i don't get it , well ya i get it and i'll cut up all day long and joke about sports just like everybody else , but theres some lines you don't cross . i think jc and a few others do cross that line and i see nothing wrong with myself , volhunter , volman , or the insider cutting them off at the knees and sending them on their way. oh by the way you make it sound like you or jc or your other drinking buddies don't take things too serious , well if thats the case why do i get the impression that it does bother you if i give the wolfpack a dose of their own medicine??? maybe it's just me ??????? either way , it doesn't matter , but i do think that i bring a lot more to the table here than some of these guys you've been buds with for a couple of years . i can talk trash , i can talk shit and i can talk legitimate sports !! thats a lot more than i can say for some clowns in here !!!!!!!!!

sorry for the confusion , i was trying to tell you who i was by revealing as little as possible . never can be too safe ya know !! ya what gave it away for me was when you talked about the harley then food city . i hope you and your family are doing great ,and ya i wish we'd went for a ride too , but we still can in the future . you know , i had that new vulcan for 2 years and just put 2000 miles on it , but when i got the harley i put 2000 miles on it in 2 months !! it's so much more fun to ride when you're riding a HOG !!!! like i said i just sold that harley a few months ago , but i'm gonna get another one very soon !!!if you look back to one of my earlier posts i said that i really appreciated and respected the time and trouble that yourself and plumbervol have dedicated to this message board , and i truly do !! i'm pretty open minded al, and most of the time when i'm cracking on someone it's all in fun , but like i said the injury thing with jc really bugs me because i personally know the heartbreak that a severe injury can cause the young man and his family , because of my nephew suffering a career ending knee injury in his first start at QB at a local college last year . we're hoping his knee may heal enough to continue playing baseball , but football is over . other than that i would probably love razzing jc about ol piss and we'd probably both have a ball at it !! i wish that i'd known what a TENNESSEE fan you were when i lived over there , we could have probably checked out a few games together. anyhow , have a great day and we'll holler at ya later !!!
PepVol, I would not wish sustained injury on anybody except an enemy of these United States or family and friends that are threatened with bodily harm.
Sports are won by gamesmanship and in football that includes sloberknocker hits that cause the opponents to see the stars up above. But I want them to walk off the field of their own accord.
There is indeed nothing like a Harley. This coming from one who had Jap bikes of all makes untill my ironhead of these last three years. Always wanted a Harley but my passion for mustangs seemed to hold that back till recently. One main toy is the rule at this household. And the 70 Mach 1 of seven years had to go when two mortgage payments forced a gut wrenching decision. But things ultimatly work out for the best.
