...change for the sake of change is silly, and that's what the "new" (with my header and barbed wire logo) board is. A backup emergency board makes good sense, but a brand new site should have an owned address, otherwise, what's the point? The maintenance issue at Net54 is bogus, IMO. Let's make SPS better than it already is, i.e., let's BUILD on it to make it an even BIGGER and more EXCITING place to visit.
For those who don't know, I created Sports Parlor South on Christmas Night 2000. It was meant to give a new home for all of those great guys from Tony's 1240 board who suddenly found themselves homeless after Tony inexpicably and without warning pulled the plug on that board. Even the name, with "Parlor" in it has meaning from the old board (does anyone remember the Cigar Parlor? LOL! The Stable was no match!).
Anyway, I feel that priorities are being misplaced here. However, I am too late in the fray to save my own board. So good luck, I wish all the best!

Before you start questioning our judgement, you might have spoke to us first.

Without my enterprise, there would be no Sports Parlor South. I am always open to change, but should I not have been consulted about this silly change? I am all for improvement and growth. This betrayal is typical of East Tennesseeans. That's why I left ET. Enjoy your SPS that was my brainchild.

Is that a cheap personal shot? I am concerned about SPS, not about your drugs, drinking, smoking, etc. I do not lay out personal shots like that, in fact, it violates SPS rules (the few we have).

You leave me hanging to operate SPS and I have done so to the best of my ability. With the help of Plumbervol who has been partnered up with me now for a good 6 months.
Look at the bottom of the board and see that your name is still there as the founder. Know that you are in the gentlemens agreement I share with PV if you had ever decided to return in a rational manner.
And know that I too will remain your friend if you at some point in time care to act like one yourself.
