Don't take this the wrong way. I love DW's show, and it really is a refreshing alternative to anything else we have. But I have to question his guest list today. The Oak Ridge High School Ladies Coach, and we are fixing to sit thru some commodities exchange guy. Someone up at the station please grab Mr. Swamp and shake him out of it. He is fixing to commit On Air Suicide right before our very ears.
Jill Pruden is a nice woman and the coach of a state championship contending b-ball team. I would rather hear from her than the conspiracy spouting Bama fans. I guess if it is not UT football, its not worth talking about.
Dewey is a nice, likeable guy and it hurts me to say this. But he is out of his league at 850 AM. He program is simply awful. And today is a perfect example. He's actually talking to a commodities trader on a sports program. Puh-lease.
BTW, trading commodities is EXTREMELY SPECULATIVE. Contrary to the picture Dewey and his snake-oil salesman portray, most commodity investors lose money, they don't "double or triple their money" in 90 days. This is complete bullshit Dewey is selling. For every 1 investor that "doubles or triples" his $$, there are at least 10 that lose $$. You might as well bet on sports games. It's less risky than buying and selling commodities.
I'm in the Financial industry, so I can speak on this. THIS INFOMERCIAL IS BS.
Can you get rich? Sure, if you work hard and get a little lucky. This kind of trading turns into a full-time job. Many will be deceived into thinking that they can invest a little, and sit back and watch it grow. Like a money market, or mutual fund.
If you sit back and relax on this, you may make a little, or you may lose some. But you won't make a $100,000 profit on a $5,000 investment within a year.
You have to live it, breathe it, and eat the commodities market. Like I said, it turns into a fulltime job of worrying, stress, and headaches about share trading.
What a waste of radio.

Well, Ole Piss basketball is stinky and rotten; Championships and rings are long forgotten; We kicked that ass, kicked that ass, kicked that ass, in BuzzyLand; Well, I'm glad I'm not in Oxfraud; Hooray! Hooray! Cause Rebels fans are Redneck flagwavers, who live and die without rings; Hooray! Hooray! I'm glad I'm uuuuuuuuuuup in Knoxville!
Common sense should tell you that if "doubling or tripling" your money in 90 days were that easy, the snake-oil salesman Dewey is promoting wouldn't need to do seminars to attract investors (and their money) to his firm. He would simply use his or his firms' money and get filthy rich.
This guy is doing nothing more than attracting unsophisticated investors to a "get rich quick" pep rally with the sole purpose to get these people to invest their money in order to generate commission dollars. Wether they make or lose money is irrelevent to this guy as long as he can keep making trades and generating commission $.
There is nothing wrong with making a commission on trades PROVIDED THAT he tells these people how risky trading commodities really is. But the commercials I've heard on Dewey's show make it sound like "doubling or tripling" your money is as easy as getting a boner looking at naked pictures of Penelope Cruz.
Your chances of making serious $$ trading commodities are not much better than your chances of seducing Ms. Cruz.
I figure BamaFelon and BigAl will be there, sitting in the front row, with cash in hand!
