Re: I'm confused. Why isn't Pittsburgh the AFC representative

BT, don't you hate the playoffs? There is no way in hell that NEW ENGLAND should go into Pittsburg and win. Where are the damn computers when you need them. Pitt and St. Louis had the best records in the NFL and should play for it all. ROTFLMAO! Spin it Carter, you non-playoff sheep!
the whole regular season meant absolutely nothing. What you do in October is meaningless. And we all know, the best team ALWAYS wins in the playoffs. And ultimately, that is what we want to know, who is THE best team. Kinda like Vandy is better than Georgia in basketball and UT is better than Ole Miss. It was PROVEN on the court!!!
my fellow pro-playoff club members. How in the world did the Eagles even get a chance to play for the NFC title? They should've been in the Citrus Bowl. This system is confusing.

44, we should let sheep(I hate playoffs) Carter determine the teams in the Super Bowl. He is the same one that stated the regular season means NOTHING in college basketball. I thought a team EARNED its seed based on the regular season. Interesting!
A UGA victory earlier is meaningless. Vandy is the reigning king, bottom line. They own your ass period.
By the way, just checked lowestfare.com and you can get a quick flight from Boston to New Orleans for a cool $2600, leaving Thursday, back Monday. I'm sure all the fans will be glad to pony up for that. No wait, I'm sure they all planned 2 weeks in advance and already bought those tickets! Ain't got the jack? Well, its only a 2000 mile drive. Better leave in the morning. "The Super Bowl: We're all about the fans!"

Since you don't enjoy competition I wonder why you follow sports. They should just take the scoreboards down and let the fans vote on who they think won the game. LMAO!
Weren't you just a week ago proclaiming the Raiders got hosed and should have been playing the Steelers? Then how in the hell can the BEST team be playing in the Super Bowl? Isn't that what the playoffs PROVE to all of us, who is THE BEST? LMAO. Wonder what happens if Chicago's QB isn't cheap-shotted out early last week? Did Philly just win a survival-of-the-fittest contest? I'm just proud to KNOW that New England is AT LEAST the 2nd best team since it has now been PROVEN BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT. The playoff court says so.

I'm not anti-playoff in the NFL. But I still contend it's a different animal with different circumstances. By the way, why don't they play all games at nuetral (bowl) sites?
is if ol shiney pants can start something that takes the boredom out of the N.oteably F.rittersom L.each's.
Switch the uniforms of the teams and not much changes.
Free agency and salary caps suck.
They can keep their me,me,me sport as it now stands.
and their beer, hotdogs, popcorn and executive suites.
Instant replay is a debacle. It has manured the calls more than it will ever sanitize them.
I hate the cowboys but I hate it worse when they are a non-factor. Somebody please put a hit on Jerry Jones. And Don King while the contract is being done up.
Big buisness has screwed pro sports and its just a matter of time before it screws with the collegiant level.
SS or somebody better start something soon or its lookin like soccer will become a more viable form of entertainment in the PRO rhelm.

Carter, I never said the Raiders got hosed. It was a correct call. The refs job is not to determine the QB's intent. Hats off to the zebra's on that call!

Carter, what in the hell do you think regular season is for. You are rewarded with home field advantage. In the Steelers case it didn't matter. The Super Bowl is played on a neutral site.

The rule should be rewritten. Too bad for the Raiders. They deserved to lose the game. You blow a ten point lead in the final 10 minutes in 7 inches of snow, you deserve to lose!
That "cheap shot" as you put it on Jim Miller was 100% clean. The NFL was totally wrong in fining Hugh Douglas. When a QB throws a pick, he's fair game; it's been like that for as long as QBs have been throwing em.
Carter, the Raiders got hosed last week due to a...

poor rule, not because of a poor call by the officials.
As HHM stated, the zebras made the right call. The logic of the rule is what stumped me. Even with Brady's forward motion there was no intent to throw the ball and I think the end result should have been ruled a fumble. However, NFL rules state otherwise.
New England deserves to be the AFC rep in the Super Bowl. They won on the field where it counts.

Any of you fools who think the AFC is being represented by the best team are fucking idiots. The NFL is a thinly disguised veil for the KKK. They will never let another AA QB win a super bowl. It begs too many ?'s. We were fucking robbed. STEELER NATION will not rest until Ed Houchles is killed and has his entrails strewn across western pennsylvania.
Sincerely,
Lambert
