Honoring Neyland: The stadium bears his name, but there are some Tennessee fans who would like to see even more done to honor Gen. Robert Neyland.
''I think a lot of people today forget what General Neyland meant to this program,'' UT fan Alan Ross said. ''We need to keep his tradition alive and make sure he remains a big part of what happens at that stadium every Saturday.''

Ross and several other fans have launched a movement called the Neyland Project, an effort to keep Neyland's influence at the forefront of Tennessee football.

They're getting some results, too. This Saturday, plans are in the works to show Coach Phillip Fulmer reading Neyland's game maxims to the team prior to the Syracuse game on the JumboTron.

It's a time-honored tradition for the coach and players at Tennessee to go over those maxims. But this would be the first time the entire stadium would experience the tradition.
