Help !

I am about to change cartridges on my aged Gyrodec, but I need some advice on which dip switch settings to use on my Sedley Phono Stage with an Ortofon MC30 Supreme?

Dear Ian,

Thanks for the spec.

Ok..Your best bet is to start by setting both channels to 1k ohms resistance. You do this by having the 1k switch on both left and right in the down position.

The capacitance may require a little fiddling. To start I would try 100pF setting. It is worth experimenting with higher and lower values of capacitance.

Please get back to us once you've tried these.

Best of luck.

Haider.

Dear Chaps,

Another cartridge challenge for you.

Just bought a Dynavector DV20XH (High Output MC - 2.5mV).

If I set capacitance too low when at 47K and in Moving Magnet Gain, then I get what sounds like radio moscow bleeding over everything, even when the needle isn't on an LP. Upping capacitance seems to calm things down.

Is this normal ?

The Kit spec is:

Gyrodec QC
Origin Live RB300 with Incognito Loom
Sedley Phono
Chord Chorus Interconnects
Primare 30.1 Integrated Amp
Dynaudio Audio 62's
