Go with the 808 I'd say?

Debated plenty here already, but I still think the 808 is superior. The CDX-1 is a nice idea, I'll give it that. But I didn't like the fact you had to swap CD's and do this and do that with it. 808's pretty straight foward when you get used to it, and with an OP-1 board, the world is your oyster then. My advice - 808/OP-1 + Realtime CD burner deck + optical cable = BOOM! I'm about to cut my first CD at home, and it couldn't be easier!

I haven't heard about the 808 discontinuation? But these little boxes will be the TB-303's of the new millenium if so? Get in on the ground floor anyway you can so you aren't paying $1500.00 for a used one 5 years from now. Seriously underated phrase sampler/production co-ordinater. It's simply perfect in my books!
