2 types of files?

From my look at the CDX-1, You have a CD-RW and it holds all your samples and settings much like a Zip does on the 808. BUT, it's either when you go into SONG, or want to get SONG out of a CDX-1, you can't put it on the same CD-RW you had used for samples and such? That I though was pretty baffling, and hence turned me off the CDX-1. I know CD's are pretty cheap and all - but you do a 'master' and then say 'I don't like the mix'. Then you have to re-insert the 'sample CD' reset the faders, take out the sample CD, re-insert the Master CD, delete the master song (if you want to save space?), remaster the song back onto CD...

Makes my head hurt just thinking about it all.
