Answer....

by re:Verb

Circlehead, I know you already got your 808, but here's the answer anyway.

The A6 manual talks about it's guitar and mic effects directly, but never mentions the (maybe assumed) action of sampling from these sources. The manual makes reference to it's effects as being used "after audio is sampled"; this to me (knowing that using a mic IS possible) says that they are assuming you have connected your source (guitar, mic, etc) and sampled, then want to add the A6 effects. They make reference to connecting other audio sources (vcr, cd player, etc) and sampling from them, but not with anything else. As I said before, I know it will take a mic; so my assumption here (maybe I shouldn't, but...) is that since it takes a mic (XLR) and describes the [use of] the A6 mic/vocal effects(not sampling), that it would, therefore, also take a guitar(XLR) describing the use of effects and not sampling. I have not (and will not) try this to see if it does in fact work, but I would bet on it at this point.

Hope this helps somebody.
