... for the info. I knew the 808 was something
special when it first came out and intended to get
one then...then the EX came out and I was waiting for
a minute for the price to go down a bit, and then
I find out about the A6 and that the 808 is discontinued altogether, so now it's like just find
one in good shape quick.
I know it is an underestimated piece, because it
seems like a toy to someone who's looking for a
"pro" sampler...but the simplest little things are
the first part that makes it great (like faders for
the tracks...hello?) I wanted it primarily for live
stuff and that's where it seems to have it's biggest
advantages. I don't think I'd want to work in such a strict and non-"musical" context as the A6 would force me to. I got enough of that from some of the twats
I've worked with.
Also, I just saw the 750 zip on Iomega's website,
but there were no connection options mentioned and
I haven't actually looked anywhere else to see
if they really exist yet or not.
