Grooveboxes by and large have the 'fiddle around with cheesy loops' stigma attached to them as pointed out by someone above, but you must doff you hat to any box sporting an XV sound engine and a sequencer. This will allow ENDLESS creative oportunities, and let personal composition blend with the world of sample theivery seamlessly. Much as I love my 808ex, I'd wring a puppy's neck to get my hands on anything with an XV sound source.
