have you waited enough, the disk format can be very long...
did you try to format on a fresh new disk?
i experienced some problems with old disk at this step...
if the disk drive is dead don't worry it can be easy replaced and the price you paid the sp 808, is still a good business.
if you can't format a fresh new disk, go and buy a new internal atapi 250 MO zip drive and stay here, me or another guy will help you to replace it.
in all cases put a 250 drive is the best solution for
tasted the full power of the sp 808.
