hmmm

well i formatted the disk at 32
and i just played around with it somemore, did a quick and standard (standards the same as quick it just does more right?) cleanup,but it still isnt acting like it has alot of time on it
i recorded what it said was about 6 minutes of stuff, so now its down to 59 or so minutes, but it should still have like an hour and however much more like you said
ill try timing with a clock and record over and hour of stuff and see if it just cuts off at 59 minutes or if it keeps going

but unless if it just doesnt undertsnad the time and will acctualy record more then it says it will i dont see where the problem is
all i did was take the old drive out, remove the little thing on the back of the old one, im pretty sure i put it in the same place on the new one, unless if it matters what end is facing out, since the one end looked different from the other
and then i put the new drive in, checked to see if my old 100 mb disk still worked and when it did i then formatted a 250 mb disk, and then saw the time was wrong
i guess ill go experiment, thanks for the help tho
