MIDI newbie!!!Help!!!!!!

Okay, before today, all I've been using to make my 808 talk to anything are my trusty RCA chords (red and white wires connected to the Master Output). But, I recently purchased Voyetra's Digital Music Starter Kit for my PC and I want to start using the MIDI connectors. Only problem is I have NO experience with MIDI at all (at least none that I'm aware of). Please, someone, tell me how I can get my songs off of my SP808 and into my multitrack recorder on my PC. Thanks in advance.

(ps. I'm sure someone has asked this same question before, but this discussion board is HUGE, and takes forever to wade through for certain things. I will still be looking. But if you can answer this but you answer a million times before please either give me some direction of where to look or just answer this just one more time.)
