Hey, what can I say--I'm from the Old Skool! Hell, I still insist on 2" tape when I bring groups to the studio! Yes, hard to believe but check this out: I scooped up one of the last factory sealed Classics about two summers ago from AMS (dirt cheap) but because of my schedule, I didn't crack the carton until about 10 months ago! I REALLY dig this little box...but I'd like to get a few projects done on it before I upgrade the OS (I'm real anal when it comes to gear!). As for the gate, I think you're right on point; just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Anyway, I've been lurking around here for at least 3 years, but haven't posted much. I wanted to tell you don't sweat the "unemployed" thing...I've been working full time in the music industry for over 10 years, and my family still thinks I'm "unemployed"! Won't name names, but I've been blessed to work with some of the biggies in the West Coast rap game (I'm a producer by trade), so music's been very good to me and mine. I'm actually a recent casualty of the financial woes of Tower Records; spent the last three years with their corporate office working for the web site (TowerRecords.com)--pushing urban product. Still do stuff for 'em on a project by project type of deal, but I'm loving the FREEDOM AND THE TIME TO DEVOTE TO MY OWN PROJECTS! You will too...it'll all work out!
