More Bounce per ounce.

by John Westwood

I hear you, and it is a bit 'wacky' why Roland insists on 8 still. But, in some ways they're right - if you 'bounce' tracks. Record 3 mono tracks, and 'bounce' them onto track 4/D. Then record 2 mono tracks, and 'bounce' them onto track 3/C. Record onto 2, and 'bounce' 2&3 onto track 1/A - and record onto track 2 again - VOILA! 9 tracks...wait a minute!

It's not right I know - but Roland would probably say that what they meant. And with the 808 atleast, there's no generation loss hardly as it's all digital.
