beyond sp808?

i think this is my 6th year using my sp808. ive got 2.
and i will keep 2, maybe even grab a 3rd (so cheap these days).
there's a lot of new stuff out and i figure it is time to upgrade my [ahem] studio.
whats the next logical step?
i prefer hardware.
any thoughts?
