1)It uses and reads directly of compact flash (512meg uncompressed max).
2)3 modes of operation - all quite different.
3)2*MFX processors + mastering effects
4)The Cakewalk P606 software comes bundled with DX effects and you can use as many as your computer can handle.
5)P606 is a 16 part multi drum ,synth ,sampler with full sequencing interface . You get all the 505 drum sets ,all the 303 sound sets a Virtual analog synth,sample player etc etc...
6)The SP606 is a virtual control surface for the software.
7)you can dump via usb total sections of these 16 part compositions to individual pads etc etc and do all teh chop ,slice and dice crap the 808EX does.
8)pads are velocity sensitive.
I wasn't that keen on it till the I saw the list of features. It sounds damn good also ...
