Go for it!

Hopefully the studio can lock to the 808 either as Slave or Master. And from there, I'd use Optical - as there's NO chance for interference of hums and buzzes off monitors etc. Simply load the song, isolate track 1 by muting/killing other tracks and press play to fire ProTools to Record (or vice versa?)
Then cue back your song and Protools, isolate track 2, set ProTools to record a new track, and carry on as such.
