drive probs

sounds like u aint having fun!

there have been issues with old zip disks kacking themselves, but ive never heard of a disk damaging the drive.

the red led lights up when the drive is reading/writing, so if it isn't coming on, nothing is happening.

i cannot recall anybody having probs with the cable, but there is always a 1st time.

seeing you cant be sure of the functionality of the 2nd drive you installed, maybe it would be best to wait for the arrival of your new 250Mb drive and see how that goes. If there are still problems, replace the cable (should be a new one in the box with the 250drive, but make sure it is configured the same as the 808s)

maybe try inserting a brand new disk too?
